Workshop Sypnosis
Speaker Profile
Over 30 million PowerPoint presentations are created each day, but only a handful of them are effective in a presentation. Why? People never learned. Old habits are passed from professor to student and management to employees. Presentation expert Seth Godin states, "Almost every PowerPoint presentation sucks rotten eggs," and even Toastmasters International doesn't teach the most current research and guidelines for visuals. Do not worry: Making effective visuals is simple if we think simple and follow some up-to-date research.
In this presentation, attendees will:
1. Understand the differences between PowerPoint as a writing platform and PowerPoint as a visual presentation platform
2. Learn easy-to-follow design guidelines for slides in spoken presentations
3. Review common mistakes and best practices of body language with visual aids
4. Compare before and after example slides from industry experts like Garr Reynolds
5. Be able to ask questions during and after the workshop content
